Old Business: Holly Fun Club is still planning to have activities for kids after the Gateway Fair parade on the grounds of the Shanner Elementary playground.

  1. Kathy McCorkle, director of Domestic Safety Resource Center presented information on what the organization does. They are a victim advocacy service for the 15th Judicial District of the State of Colorado that includes Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa, and Prowers counties.  Kathy shared what types of services they provide and things that they can assist victims with.
  2. Jerry L’Estrange from the Town of Holly reported PUMA has its draft report out and PEP (formerly PCDI) also has a report out. Both reports will be available at Town Hall and at the town board meeting tonight as well.
  3. Jesse Frey brought information about printing a business/service directory for the businesses in Holly and the surrounding area and furthering the membership of the group. Discussion followed regarding this idea and what could be done with that possibility and places to post the publication or include with the Holly Shopper.  Rod Swisher then made a motion and Cynthia Simon seconded to form a “Membership Committee,” consisting of Rod Swisher, Tracy Kirmer, and Jesse Frey, that would further discuss this idea and come to next month’s meeting with more information.  The motion carried unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned by John at 1:01 p.m.  The next meeting of the Holly Commercial Club will be held at 12:00 noon on October 5, 2016.
