Emergency Service Communicator – The City of Lamar is accepting applications for an Emergency Service Communicator in the E-911 Dispatch Center. Schedule: Graveyard 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Under general supervision is responsible for receiving all calls to Communications Center, analyzing the calls, and determining the appropriate need for response. He/she notifies law enforcement, fire, and/or ambulance personnel or requests for service and follows through on all responses. Performs work that varies somewhat but is performed within prescribed standards. Starting Salary: $14.36 per hour. Please apply on-line at Employment on the City of Lamar website. Notice of Proposed School Budget

Notice is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Board of Education of Lamar School District Re 2 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020 and has been filed in the office of the Superintendent where it is available for public inspection. Such proposed budget will be considered for adoption at the Regular meeting of the Board of Education of said district at 210 West Pearl on June 8, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Any person paying school taxes in said district may at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget file or register his objections thereto.
