Karen Maggart – December 8, 1948 – July 28, 2026

A memorial celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident Karen Maggart will be held at a later date.

Karen was born on December 08, 1948 at McIntosh, South Dakota to Joseph Ray and Harriet Ione (Cockerham) Pazie and passed away on July 28, 2026 at the Parkview Medical Center with her family by her side at the age of 77.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Karen is survived by her husband Robert Maggart of the family home in Lamar, CO, children Billy Adams of Lamar, CO, Ray (Penny) Gonzales, Jr. of Rocky Ford, CO, Dinean Hammer of Muldrow, OK and Tanya (Mitch Smith) of Colorado Springs, CO and numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Bonnie Lavigne, Lyla Pazie-Wetvel and Janet Atkinson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen Maggart memorial fund in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home.
