Gas Leak Closes Prowers County Courthouse for Thursday

A gas leak was detected mid-morning, Thursday, September 22nd at the Prowers County Courthouse which prompted the evacuation of all personnel while a crew from Atmos Energy  responded to the problem.

As of one pm Thursday afternoon, the leak had not been repaired and according to Prowers County Administrator, Jo Dorenkamp, a decision was made to close the courthouse for the remainder of the day while repairs were underway.
