Prowers County Assessor announces he is “goin’ fishin’ “
To all of the property owners and individuals in Prowers County; there is a time for everything according to the book of Ecclesiastes. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your County Assessor since January 13, 1987. Nearly 40- years of public service that seem to have flown by. Sometimes, it doesn’t seem possible. But as with all good things, there is a time to walk away. It is with a heavy heart that must tell you all that I will not seek another term as your County Assessor. I thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
Sometimes the road has been bumpy and other times it’s been smooth. Following all the changing laws and regulations handed down by the Legislature and Governor have not been an easy task, but WE, my team have succeeded every time. I humbly ask you to support Wylee Wollert, who has worked in this office for nearly 2 years and has done an exemplary job. She is being trained in every detail of what makes this beast, the office, work. She has earned her license as an Ad Valorem Appraiser. Her background in business management, financial accounting, payroll, and auditing has strengthened her attention to detail and understanding of complex systems. The Assessors’ Office has become so complex, it needs an experienced individual to take the reins.
Thank you again for trusting me to direct this public office for 40-years.
Andy Wyatt
