Teresa Bañuelos Corral “Teresita”…October 15, 1927 – January 30, 2019

Mass of Christian Burial for Lamar, Colorado resident Teresa Corral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar, Colorado. A rosary/scripture service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 also at the church. Per Teresa’s request, there will be no public visitation.

Teresa Banuelos Corral was born October 15, 1927 in Las Animas, Colorado to Demecio and Feliciana (Hernandez) Banuelos. She married Henry E. Corral on January 22nd, 1955 in Lamar, Colorado. After marriage Teresa and Henry lived in Lamar. Teresa adored her family and loved to garden. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar, Colorado. She passed away on January 30, 2019 at her home in Lamar at the age of 91.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Leal of Ordway, CO; niece Gloria Kors of Ordway, CO; niece Cecilia Gray of Houston, TX; niece Virginia Velasquez of Thornton, CO; niece Rose Juarez of Escondido, CA; niece Ophelia Juarez of Escondido, CA; nephew Ray Juarez of Escondido, CA; nephew Steve Banuelos of Parker, CO; nephew Anthony Banuelos of Fort Morgan, CO; nephew Joseph Banuelos of Albuquerque, NM; niece Connie Banuelos of Albuquerque, NM; great-niece Angela Chairez of Wiley, CO; great-niece Barbara Taylor of Council Bluffs, IA; great-nephew Eric Ortega of Thornton, CO; great-niece, Yvonne Lopez of Thornton, CO; great-nephew Reggie Ortega of Thornton, CO; friends Maria Elena Gomez of Lamar, CO; Hortencia Duarte of Lamar, CO; Maria Rincon of Lamar, CO; Francisca Madrid of Lamar; Irene Aragon of Lamar, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Demecio and Feliciana Banuelos; her husband, Henry Corral; infant son, Angel Corral; brother, Cruz Banuelos; sisters, Angela Lucero and Rafaela Juarez, nieces, Rita Lucero and Cecilia Serrano, nephews, James Lucero and David Velasquez.
