Holly Commercial Club Setting New Meeting Date


The Holly Commercial Club met on December 6. The minutes from the November meeting were approved, as was the Treasurer’s Report. There was a discussion regarding operating expenses.  The Holly Shopper Report was approved. It was reminded to the Club that new members/renewing members can pay their 2018 dues on a quarterly basis.  Prowers Economic Prosperity Executive Director, Eric Depperschmidt, gave a summary regarding the year end activities of PEP for the communities and reminded those present of their February 8 annual meeting.

Old Business
Pat Miller, Holly, was the winner of the Holly Commercial Club “Guess the Box” competition at Reymans Grocery. A reminder was given for the Old-Fashioned Christmas that was happening in Holly that night.

New Business
Jennifer Holdren, Holly Family Chiropractic, reported that a fund is still ongoing for a new Christmas Tree, to be set up on South Main Street for 2018.  The approximate cost will be $5,000.  The current officer team was unanimously reappointed for next year. KVAY ads will be revamped for 2018, to better benefit the community and businesses of Holly.

The next meeting will be Friday, January 5 at 6 pm.  The February and March 2018 meetings will be as regularly scheduled on noon on the first Wednesday of the month.
