Action 22 Welcomes New Leadership

Action 22 announces the selection of new President/CEO, Sara Blackhurst of Rye, CO. Mrs. Blackhurst has been serving nonprofit organizations in Southern Colorado for more than a decade and brings expertise in nonprofit operations, grant writing, program development and fundraising to the position. “I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to serve Southeastern Colorado and the communities I love. I look forward to visiting all of our members in the next weeks and months, in order to listen and understand how we can leverage resources and collaborate to build stronger communities.”
Action 22, founded in 1999, is a volunteer-driven membership organization of individuals, cities, communities, counties, associations, businessesAction-22-county-map and organizations in a 22-county region. Working together for a stronger voice on statewide discussion tables, the State Legislature and in Washington, D.C., Action 22’s mission is to give voice to Southern Colorado and serve as a leader for cohesive action to affect change and shape the future of Southern Colorado.
Action 22 Board Chairman, Ivor Hill, along with the entire Board of Directors and Members are especially grateful to long time Board Member, Doris Morgan for going above and beyond in serving as Interim CEO since December of 2016.
