To all Bent County Registered Republicans:

In the weeks following the 2016 Republican State Assembly, many people expressed concerns regarding how the Colorado GOP was functioning.

Now is the time for any Bent County Republican registered in Bent County to step forward and direct the Bent County GOP in the direction you feel it needs to take. On Thursday, February 2 the biennial reorganization meeting. Officers will be elected to the Bent County Central Committee.

Any Bent County registered Republican is welcome to attend. Only current members of the Central Committee are eligible to nominate a candidate and vote. However, any Bent County registered Republican may run for office or second a nomination. If you are interested in having a voice in choosing the next Republican candidate for Colorado Governor you should contact one of the following Central Committee Members: Alan Stump, Dave Encinias, Lois Stump, Twila Taylor, Kim MacDonnell, Joe Kasza, Catherine Tempel, Connie Harris, Bryan Simmons, Angela Kelly, Glen Brown, Kip Proctor, Tom Wallace, Jean Sykes, Peggy Fritz or Dave Roberts. Any one of these officers may nominate a qualified and interested person to the position of his choice.

We also need volunteers to assist in conducting the meeting. Volunteers to offer an invocation, lead the Pledge of Allegiance, count votes, credential electors and keep time are needed. This will provide an opportunity to participate in the process and help you decide if you would like to participate in the future.

I sincerely hope to see all of you at our organizational meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Bent County Senior Opportunity Center in Las Animas. For more information, send an e-mail to bentcountygop@gmail.com or message us on FaceBook at Bent County GOP.

Alan Stump,
Bent County GOP Chair
