Roland Wayne Tomlin…June 16, 2016 – January 11, 2017

A Mass of Christian Burial for Roland Tomlin will be held at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado. Reverend Monsignor James Koenigsfeld will officiate. A Rosary/Scripture service will be held at 1:30 also at the cathedral. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.

Roland Wayne Tomlin was born on June 16, 2016 in Pueblo, Colorado to Rebecca Tomlin and was granted his angel wings on January 11, 2017. Roland was an unexpected miracle, but such a delight to all. Roland’s life seemed short, but those who loved him were touched by his big smile and his giggles. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him. He woke every day singing and happy and would sing along with the hymns in church. Roland worshiped his big brother Hunter. Roland saved his biggest smiles for his brother. Roland tracked Hunter with his eyes wherever he would go. Hunter could make him giggle and laugh at any time. Roland loved it when Hunter played with him. With Roland’s passing, we remind others that life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss Roland every day, especially his big smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. We have wonderful memories of a very special young man that lit up all our lives.

Roland leaves behind his loving mother Rebecca; brother Hunter Fae; grandparents Harold and Kathleen Tomlin (Papa and Oma), “Vonnie” LaVonne Garrison, Antoinette Parker; great grandmothers, Ann Smith and Olive Tomlin; Aunts Alice Tomlin (Marcela Priale), Jessica Tomlin (Mike Meehan); Tracy (Jason) Weisenhorn; Uncle John (Crystal) Parker; cousin Emyrson; and many other family members and loved ones.

Roland was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Bob Parker; great grandfathers Mahlon Smith and Harold Fae Tomlin.
