LAMAR, COLO– The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the City of Lamar is hosting an open house on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. to kick-off the reconstruction of US Highway 287 through the City of Lamar. The meeting will be held at the Cultural Events Center located at 102 East Parmenter in Lamar.
Anyone interested in the project should stop in to learn about the work and meet the project contractor, American Civil Constructors (ACC Mountain West). ACC Mountain West will provide an overview of the work, present the initial project schedule and outline efforts for proactive communication with local businesses, residents and visitors to the region.
ACC Mountain West was hired by CDOT to replace and improve the waterline and reconstruct the road on US 287 within the City of Lamar – a project footprint a little less than one mile. Improvements will include waterline, some utilities, curb, gutter and concrete paving. The project, which is slated to kick off late January, will encompass two construction seasons with a winter shutdown November 2017 – March 2018.
Project team members will be available to answer questions about the reconstruction and informational boards will provide an overview of the schedule. You may also learn more about the project by contacting the team directly at 719-821-7943 or via email at PublicInfo@accbuilt.com.
