Sheriff’s Deputies Find Drugs in Traffic Stop

On Sunday, 11-6-16 at approximately 0136 hours, (1:36am) a Prowers County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a male driver in Holly for speed. During the stop the driver was unable to present a valid proof of insurance. Deputy issued the summons for Speed and No Proof of Insurance. The vehicle was to be towed due to having no valid insurance.
The driver, Justin Marcus Pulliam, 24 of Colorado Springs, was cited and allowed to leave the stop, prior to the tow truck arrival. Deputies conducted an inventory search of the vehicle for tow. During the inventory, deputies located $10,600 in U.S. currency, a scale, along with presumptive tested narcotics; 0.7 g of Cocaine, 46.5 g of mushrooms, and 32.7 g of marijuana.
A warrant was obtained for Unlawful Distribution/ Manufacturing, a drug felony 3, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a drug felony 4, which includes a bond of $100,000 Cash, Property, or Surety.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
