Lena Sandoval-Horton…January 18, 1949 – November 16, 2016

                Mass of Christian Burial for Lamar, Colorado resident, Lena Sandoval-Horton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar, CO.  Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.  A rosary/scripture service will take place prior to the Mass at 1:30 p.m., also at the church.

                Lena Lorraine Sandoval-Horton was born on January 18, 1949 to Corina Sandoval and Jose Pacheco in Wagon Mound, NM.  She passed away on November 16, 2016 at Lamar Estates in Lamar, CO at the age of 67 with her family at her side.

                Lena was an avid sports fan but especially liked watching the Denver Broncos.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors as well as fishing and riding her bike and found great peace in music.  Lena’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren.

                Lena is survived by her children, Pauline Gregg of Lamar, CO and M. Sisto Garcia of Denver, CO; siblings, Gilberta (Steven) Hoodenpyle of Lamar, CO, Juan (Jenara) Torres of Pueblo, CO and Ernestine Orozco of Midland, TX; step children, Irma (Donald) Sanchez, Wilma Garcia, and Felipe (Sharon) Garcia; grandchildren, Kevin Gregg, Michaela Gregg, Jayden Galindo, and Gabriella Galindo; seven half-siblings; God-children, Kris Rangel and Destiny Storm; many other relatives and a host of friends.

                She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, John Aguilar, Mary Torres, Manuel “Matt” Sandoval, Mary Ann Torres, Nabor Torres, Carlos Torres and half-sister, Betty Sandoval.
