Two Dead in Prowers County Crash

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a three vehicle fatal crash that occurred on Colorado 50 MP 458, approximately 25 miles east of Lamar, on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 15:15 hours.
A 2011 Isuzu delivery truck was eastbound on Colorado 50 when the driver lost control and swerved into the westbound lane. The Isuzu side swiped a 2001 Freightliner. The Isuzu continued eastbound and then collided with another 2001 Freightliner. The second Freightliner and Isuzu caught on fire after coming to rest.
The driver was identified as 42 year-old Theodore Graffis of Rocky Ford, Colorado. Theodore Graffis was wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced deceased on-scene. The passenger was identified as 24 year-old Victor Medina of La Junta, Colorado. Victor was wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced deceased on-scene.
The driver of the first 2001 Freightliner was identified as 40 year-old Francisa Rangel of Lakin, KS. She was not injured in the crash. The driver of the second 2001 Freightliner was identified as 50 year-old Manuel Cisneros of
Garden City, KS. Manuel was transported to Prowers Medical Center in Lamar for minor injuries.
Speed and alcohol/drugs are not factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
