Lamar’s annual “Community Social” to be held July 10

The Annual Community Social event sponsored by the City of Lamar, Prowers Medical Center, and High Plains Community Health Center will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Willow Creek Pavilion next to the swimming pool.  The event is free for everyone.

An afternoon swim will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, followed by the “meet, greet and eat” portion of the event from 5:00 to 7:00 pm which will allow an opportunity to meet city officials and local healthcare representatives.  An evening swim will follow, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  At dusk (approximately 8:00 pm), the movie “Zootopia 2” will be shown and popcorn will be provided.

Raffle prizes will be offered throughout the event.  The day promises a perfect way to cool off, grab some free food and gather with community members. Mark your calendars!
