As we move closer to the Grand Opening of our new center in Bristol, we are requesting help from the public regarding expansion of our digital historical repository preservation efforts recording the rich railroading, commerce, farming and ranching history in the Bristol, Colorado community. In conjunction and collaboration with Big Timbers Museum, Prowers County Historical Society and Colorado Railroad Museum, we are reaching out to the public for any historical photos and/or documentation surrounding the rich history of Bristol that might be a part of your families’ private collections.

In reference to our requests, we were recently contacted by a private party in Indiana, Mwhose family members used to own and operate a lumber business in Bristol during the early 1900s. They came across our website doing genealogical research and contacted us about our digital historical repository preservation efforts. If your family has any historical photos and/or documentation related to the Town of Bristol’s rich history, please reference our website at Bristol Community Project, bristolcommunityproject.org and feel free to send them to our website email at bristolcommunityproject@gmail.com.

Thank you for your continued support of our digital historical repository preservation efforts.

We would like to thank and acknowledge that the attached photos and documentation are from Milton Otto’s private collections.

With much appreciation,

Rodney Carr, Chairperson Town of Bristol Improvements Board
