Allen and Janie Campbell have lived in Wiley most of their lives. Allen grew up South of Wiley, Janie grew up in the Wiley area. Both of them went to Wiley School and graduated from Wiley School. They were married in 1973 and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last summer.
Allen bought the Wiley Service Station on Main Street in 1972. He then purchased the old Wiley Football Field in 1981 and turned it into a salvage yard and other various other things. Janie helped in the business until their two children arrived:
Leslie (Adam) Carroll who has two children Kooper and Kazwell, they live in Pueblo. Dustin (Sarah) Campbell who also has two children Jakzon and Alexus, they live in Lamar.
Allen has been active in the Wiley Community being on the Town Council and now serving as Mayor for a total of 40 years.
Janie drives a school bus in Lamar and has many funny stories to tell about the past 30 years of driving. She has also helped with Wiley Hay Days for several years.
It is an honor to be King and Queen for Wiley Hay Days. We would like to thank everyone.
