LPD, Sheriff and CSP Conducts Drug Arrest


On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, acting on information gathered during ongoing narcotics investigations conducted by the Lamar Police Department, officers were able to secure multiple search warrants for residences within the City of Lamar in regards to suspected narcotics trafficking. Lamar Police Officers, acting in concert with the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol executed search warrants in the 800 block of W. Maple St., 600 block of N. 6th St. and 400 block of Chadwick Way in Lamar.

Bryan Martinez, age 28, of Lamar, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled schedule I and II and possession with intent to distribute schedule I and II controlled substances. Mr. Martinez was held at the Prowers County Jail without bond.

Anthony Freyta, age 39 of Lamar, was located and taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants. Mr. Feyta is held at the Prowers County Jail on no bond.

With evidence collected during the multi-agency operation, officers will be seeking warrants for the arrest of multiple individuals on various charges including possession of a controlled substance, distribution of controlled substances and related crimes.

Every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
