Prowers GOP Prepares for March 20 Caucus

The Prowers County Republican Assembly will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at the Lamar Community Building gymnasium. Check in starts at 5:30pm at the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose of the Assembly will be for the Delegates chosen at the Caucus to vote on the candidates who are running for positions in Prowers County.

Candidates who have announced their intention to run to this point are:

County Assessor – Andrew B. Wyatt
County Clerk & Recorder – Jana Coen
County Commissioner – Ron Cook
County Sheriff – Sam Zordel
County Treasurer – Judy Wittman and Kayla Koehn

To be placed on the June 26th Primary Ballot, each candidate must receive 30% of the eligible voters in attendance at the Assembly.

If a candidate receives less than 30% but more than 10% they have the option to petition on to the Primary Ballot.

If a candidate receives 10% or less they have no possible options to be placed on the Primary Ballot.
