Lamar Youth Involved in One-Vehicle Roll-Over, Several Injured

On Friday, 07/28/2017 The Colorado State Patrol investigated a one-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Prowers County Road GG.5 near Prowers County Road 36 approximately 3 miles north of Holly Colorado.

A green Ford F150, driven by a 17 year old male from Lamar Colorado, was eastbound on Prowers County Road GG.5 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then re-entering the roadway and traveled across the road while rotating counter clockwise before departing the left side of the roadway. The vehicle encountered a trip point and traveled in the air before impacting into the ground. The vehicle rolled 1 time before coming to rest of the left side of the roadway on its wheels.

The driver and three other occupants were transported to Prowers Medical Center in Lamar. The driver was later flown to Parkview Hospital with serious injuries. The other occupants had moderate injuries. None of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred. Drugs and Alcohol are not being considered a factor in this crash.
