Paul Feliciano Palomino…April 13, 1933 – April 23, 2017



A Memorial Mass for Paul Palomino will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado. Father Henry Wertin will officiate. A Rosary/Scripture service will take place prior to Mass at 1:30 p.m., also at the church. Inurnment will follow at the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado.

Paul Feliciano Palomino was born on April 13, 1933 to Pedro and Carmelita (Montano) Palomino in Trujillo, New Mexico and passed away on April 23, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 84.

Paul grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and as an adult, moved to the Arkansas Valley area, where he met and married Patricia R. Sauceda. To this union, six children were born. Paul spent most of his working career in the agriculture field. A career that began in his younger years in Pueblo and continued when he relocated to the Las Animas area and began working for John Sheba. He had a brief time of employment as Groundskeeper for Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado but once again returned to what he loved, farming in South Eastern Colorado. He gained employment with Richard Carver and finished out his working years for him until retirement. Paul was a loving, caring, friendly man and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Paul is survived by his children, Paul Palomino, Jr., Rosanna Griego, Patricia Pacheco, Carmelita Palomino, Paula DeLeon, Steven Palomino, and Dara Palomino; sister, Phyllis Martinez; ex-wife, Patricia Ozaeta; and special friend, Mary Rivera; grandchildren, Tricia, Patty, Emily, Dara, Angela and Chelsa Palomino, Michael Pacheco, Stephanie Salazar, Natasha Hutchison, Cassandra Wheaton, Shanice, Kristina and Larry, Jr. DeLeon, Vanessa and Stevi Palomino, Nathaniel Granados, Paula, Paul, and Carlos Rodriquez; great grandchildren, Dallas, Deztinee and Darius Bailey, Michael III, Nathan and Aiden Pacheco, Joseph, Gabriel and Noah Salazar, Eileena, Ian Jr. and Rosalee Wheaton, Deyon and Justine Sutherland, Richard and Jazzlean Ortega, Cipriani Arevalo, Tanaitia, Kenyauni, Ezekiel and Carlos Palomino; and a host of other beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Carmelita Palomino; daughters, Susan Rodriquez and Christella Palomino; brothers, Secucidino, Zenon and Pete Palomino; sisters, Mary Diaz and Adelina Bernal; grandson, Deron Clayton, Jr.; and great grandson Aaron Salazar.
