Dona Rae Geier (Bock), of La Junta, retired nurse, passed away December 21, 2016. She is survived by her children, Dana Chavira, James Brian Geier, Brandie Campbell; nine grandchildren, Kacey Stagner, Karlee Stagner, Kristian Chavira, Darian Chavira, Dylan Chavira, Kylee Dominguez, Kyle Dominguez, Kamron Dominguez, Abigail Knueppel; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard “Dick” Floyd Bock, Ester Geier, Louise Sidebottom, Theodore Leroy Bock; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, James Dillon “JD” Porter and Geraldine “Gerri” Isaac.
Dona was well known in the area for her nursing in the hospital, home health, nursing home and in surgery. She was a generous person, touching many lives with her surgical caps, nursing vests, and artistic nature.
