Lamar Police Make Arrest, Take Drugs Off the Streets

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, officers received information about illegal drug activity in the 100 block of North 5th Street. After investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for the residence, located at 101 North 5th Street.
Officers conducted the search warrant and located approximately 61 grams of methamphetamine, 22 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of heroin, morphine pills, and psychedelic mushrooms.
Elijah Sena, 33, of Lamar was taken into custody for multiple charges of unlawful distribution of controlled substances. He was additionally arrested for resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and child abuse.
Mr. Sena is being held on $200,000 cash only bond. Every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additional arrests are expected in the case.
