Holly Commercial Club Sets Christmas Activities

The Holly Commercial Club set Thursday, December 1st for Holly’s Old Fashioned Christmas. Each business will plan its own open house event for the evening, featuring refreshments, drawings or whatever promotion they choose to offer to the public.
Judging for the annual Christmas Lighting Contest is set for Tuesday, December 13th and the Christmas movie for area children will be held on Thursday, December 15th. The Holly Shopper Committee will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, December 7th.
Several Holly businesses decided to sponsor the lighting for the poles along Main Street but as of the meeting, November 2nd, ten poles were not sponsored. The cost is $40 per pole. The purchased lights will be donated to the Holly Pride Committee and the Town of Holly will decorate polls. Club members voted to purchase five poles on the motion made by John Golden.
One new business joined the Commercial Club, Headwinds by Amer. A vote for Club officers will be taken at the final meeting of the year on Wednesday, December 7th.
