Prowers County Department of Human Services Receives El Pomar Foundation Grant to Strengthen Fatherhood Program

Prowers County Department of Human Services (PCDHS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from El Pomar Foundation to support and expand the Prowers County Fatherhood Program. This generous investment will strengthen services designed to empower fathers, promote healthy families, and improve outcomes for children throughout Prowers County and the surrounding region.

The Prowers County Fatherhood Program is a community-based initiative dedicated to helping fathers become engaged, responsible, and positive influences in the lives of their children. Through individualized case management, peer support, parenting education, employment readiness assistance, and connections to community resources, the program works to reduce barriers that fathers often face while strengthening family relationships.

The program serves fathers from a variety of backgrounds, including those involved with child welfare, child support services, the judicial system, workforce development, and other community support programs. By providing practical tools, encouragement, and accountability, the Fatherhood Program helps fathers build stability, improve self-sufficiency, and increase meaningful involvement in their children’s lives.

Funding from the El Pomar Foundation will enhance the program’s ability to provide direct services, expand outreach efforts, develop educational programming, and connect more fathers with resources that promote long-term success for themselves and their families.
