Lamar Area Hospice, SECCI recipients of generous donation from BBB Committee

Lamar Area Hospice’s Children’s Good Grief program and SECCI (Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative) were the recipients of donations from the 2025 BBB (Beers and Brats for Boobies) fundraiser.  Both organizations were presented with a $42,000 check on February 9, 2026, with $31,000 earmarked for Lamar Area Hospice and $11,000 for SECCI.  Representatives from both organizations said they were deeply grateful for the yearly donations made to them.  This year will mark the 15th Annual BBB 5K, which is held to raise awareness of breast cancer, in honor of the founder, the late Jillian Sweet Tinnes.
