Chef Jonathan Zaragoza visits Lamar Middle School for cooking demonstration

Chef Jonathan Zaragoza recently toured several school districts across Colorado, including Brush Secondary School (middle and high school), La Junta (grades 3–6), Lamar Middle School, and Summit High School. During his visits, Chef Jonathan connected with students through engaging assemblies and hands-on culinary classroom sessions, inspiring curiosity and excitement around food and culture.
At lunchtime, students enjoyed a featured menu offering a choice of a Sonoran Dog or Beef Picadillo, paired with a fresh jicama salad available at the Extra Extra station. Chef Jonathan also sampled a Mangonada with students, a standout favorite. He also showcased his culinary expertise with a live cooking demonstration of chilaquiles, providing an entertaining and educational look at authentic flavors and cooking techniques.
