Daughters of the American Revolution held ceremonies, laid wreaths at Madonna of the Trails and Tri-State 911 Memorial in Lamar

On June 10, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) visited Lamar, including Connie Mason,  President of the Colorado State Society of DAR.  They held a ceremony and laid a wreath at the base of the Madonna of the Trails statue near the Colorado Welcome Center.

They then visited the Tri-State 911 Memorial north of Lamar, where they awarded Vietnam service medals to veterans.  After a moment of silence, the DAR assemblage held a moving ceremony honoring First Responders and laid a wreath under the bronze fireman statue.
