Tea for Tots Translates to Toys for Kids

An annual seasonal event was held this past November to help raise funds for the Toys for Tots holiday gift campaign. This marks the sixth year the Saturday event has been, hosted at the Lamar Christian Church fellowship hall.

Participants volunteer their time, expertise, imagination and materials to create a holiday themed and decorated table in the hall. Sometimes as many as two dozen tables are decorated and then judged by the volunteers.

Door prizes are handed out as well as the enjoyment of a coffee and breakfast bar. The price of admission and a new toy for a local child is donated to the annual Toys for Tots campaign which gets into full swing just after the Thanksgiving celebration.
