5th Annual Doc Jones Chuck Wagon Cook-off and Cowboy Music Show/Boggsville Days

 

 

Join in the fun and activities at the 5th Annual Boggsville Days and Doc Jones Chuck Wagon Cook-off and Cowboy Music Show, Saturday, October 12th. Located at the historic site 2 miles south of Las Animas Colorado, Boggsville was the home of John Prowers, Thomas Boggs, and Kit Carson.

There will be a full day of free activities for all to enjoy, kids games, horno cooking, touring the Prowers and Boggs homes, horse farming, horse drawn wagon rides, gunfighters, dancers, trappers and traders, civilian topographical engineers, wheel wrights, and more, vendors also welcome. There will also be five Chuck wagons set up for you to view while the evening meal is prepared.

The Chuck Wagon  supper of brisket or chicken fries, beans, bread, potatoes, and cobbler goes along with Cowboy Music show in the evening for a cost of $30.
