David Harbour, Executive Director of Southeast Developmental Services, met with visitors at the headquarters this past Wednesday, April 3rd during the organization’s annual open house. “We’ve been doing this since I’ve been here and that’s for at least 16 years,” he said.
Last month, the Prowers County Commissioners met with Harbour to proclaim April 3rd as SDS Awareness Day via proclamation.
SDS serves Prowers, Baca, Kiowa and eastern Bent Counties, with a number of programs including Children and Family, Adult and Case Management.
Harbour said this day, out of every year, is an opportunity to offer the public a look at the services at 1111 South 4th Street as well as take a tour of some of the group homes.
SDS supports individuals with developmental disabilities within their local communities to help them attain their potential for vocational and integrated living.
