Width-restrictions will be in place for loads over 12 feet.
Motorists can expect delays as traffic will be placed in a single-lane with traffic stops
PROWERS COUNTY – On Monday, April 15, the Colorado Department of Transportation will begin a project to add a new northbound passing lane to US 287 from MP 50.3 to 52.1 (north of County Road E) and connect two northbound climbing lanes from MP 57.8 to 59.5 (near County Road M).
The goal of this project is to increase safety on the highway by adding over two miles of designated passing zones for northbound traffic.
Work on this project will be divided into two different sites and will consist of removing existing concrete and asphalt pavements, concrete paving, aggregate base course, embankment, topsoil, native seeding, guardrail, and striping.
TRAVEL IMPACTS

- One-lane road with traffic stops
