William Clark…March 27, 1936 – February 28, 2019

 

Graveside Memorial Services for William Clark will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery. Per family’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

William Henry Clark was born to William Neal and Velta Marie (Campbell) Clark on March 27, 1936 in La Junta, Colorado. He graduated from La Junta Highschool in 1954. After graduation, William joined the army and served until 1975. After the army, he worked as a mechanic in Ft. Morgan and North Dakota. William then retired and moved to Florida. After living in Florida, William then moved to Colorado Springs in 1987. He then lived in La Junta before finally settling in Las Animas in 2012. He was a member of the Cowboy Church, he adored his family and was an avid bronco fan. William passed away on February 28, 2019 in Las Animas at the age of 82.

William is survived by his wife, Marylyn Clark of Las Animas, CO; son, Eugene (Teresa) Clark of San Diego, CA; sister, Debra Kay Clark of Ft. Morgan, CO; step-sons, Stan (Darlene) Colbert of OH, Alan (Linda) Colbert of OH; step-sister, Barbara Henry of La Junta, CO; niece, Brenda Bamber La Junta, CO; nephew, Mike Clark of La Junta, CO; caregiver, Margaret Jaramillo of Las Animas, CO; numerous grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Neal Clark and Marie Pantier; his step-father, Floyd Pantier; and three siblings.
