Bryan Martinez Sentenced in Prowers County Drug Case

 

On Monday, March 11, 2019, the Honorable Michael Davidson sentenced Bryan Martinez to serve seven years in Colorado Department of Corrections to be followed by two years of mandatory parole. 

Mr. Martinez had previously pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine as a result of the Lamar Police Department’s execution of a search warrant on July 17, 2018, which revealed a substantial quantity of Methamphetamine on Mr. Martinez’s person.

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, acting on information gathered during ongoing narcotics investigations conducted by the Lamar Police Department, officers were able to secure multiple search warrants for residences within the City of Lamar in regards to suspected narcotics trafficking. Lamar Police Officers, acting in concert with the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol executed search warrants in the 800 block of W. Maple St., 600 block of N. 6th St. and 400 block of Chadwick Way in Lamar.

Bryan Martinez, age 28, of Lamar, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled schedule I and II and possession with intent to distribute schedule I and II controlled substances. Mr. Martinez was held at the Prowers County Jail without bond.
