The annual Toys for Tots/Food for Families holiday campaign is underway, headquartered this year at the new workshop at 500 West Beech Street.

Collections and sorting of donated toys, old and new is now underway. As in year’s past, cash donations are always welcome and may be mailed to 1208 South 5^th Street in Lamar and toys may be dropped off at the trailer at Walmart, as well as a drop box at the Chamber of Commerce and Paul’s Body Shop.

Volunteers are always welcome from 6pm to 9pm Monday through Thursday. Contact Darlene Lopez for information at 688-0167 or 336-9018.

December 7^th is the application deadline for receiving gifts, sacking toys will take place on Saturday, December 15^th and the delivery day this year is Saturday, December 22^nd.  The Colorado State Patrol will hold their annual, ‘Fill the Cruiser’ campaign at Walmart beginning at 8am on November 23^rd.

Please donate used toys that are clean and in good working order and they should not be gift-wrapped. Useful ideas include colognes, batteries, games and shampoos and soaps.
