Local Talent Shines at Farm-City Banquet

Rhett Uhland on Stage at Farm City Banquet

The Rhett Uhland Band from Eads, Colorado provided the entertainment for this year’s Lamar Chamber of Commerce, Farm-City Banquet at the Lamar Community Building, Friday, November 9th.  Uhland is honing his abilities to join the ranks of other notable regional entertainers who hail from areas around the High Plains, having released his first album, “Always Coming Home”, earlier this spring.  He and his band entertained with original releases from that album including:  “Wild Women and Smooth Whiskey,” “One Kiss at a Time,” “American Dream” and “Angels Over Tennessee.”

Rick Robbins of Colorado Mills served as this year’s emcee while the district members of the FFA served the evening dinner, BBQ’d brisket prepared by Gary Melcher’s catering business, Backyard BBQ.
