Pamela E. Johnston – August 18, 1959 – August 19, 2026

Pamela E. Johnston was born on August 18, 1959 in Phoenix, AZ the daughter of Frank and Marcie Erramuzpe. Pam understood and appreciated the value of education and the importance and significance
that it brought to one’s life. She devoted most of her life to learning and educating. Pam she was an Associate English Professor at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan (2003- 2014); Adjunct
Professor at Lansing Community College (2002-2003); Associate Faculty Member at Michigan State University (2007-2008); Adjunct Faculty Member at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix,
Arizona (1995- 1998); and Associate Faculty Member at Arizona State University (1995-1996). She earned her B.A. from Arizona State University in 1991 and her M.A. from Arizona State University in 1995.

On October 18, 2014 Pam married Kent L. Johnston of Arlington, CO and returned to the way of life she loved so much, ranching. Pam loved the wide open prairie and the endless sky that is so representative of the area she now called home. Pam loved her livestock, but most especially Pam was a horse lover. She found a great deal of peace and tranquility being with her horses, and could be
found spending countless hours with them.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024 Pam reached perhaps one of her greatest milestones when she was sworn in as the Kiowa County Judge. Pam was so proud of her years of education and training in law, she was proud to be able to serve in this capacity. Unfortunately, Pam’s unexpected illness cut her time on the bench short.

Pam lived a live that was kind and compassionate. Her tender spirit and affectionate personality were a blessing to all who knew her. In spite of her illness that she battled for over 18 month, Pam was always
trying to encourage others. She loved people, but more importantly, she loved God.
