Doris Jane Bowles…November 17, 1928 – August 2, 2018

A graveside celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Doris Jane Bowles will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Wiley Cemetery with Pastor Paul Floyd of the High Plains Fellowship Church officiating.

Visitation for Doris will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Doris was born on November 17, 1928 at Gas City, Indiana to Arley and Mae (Campbell) Blake and passed away on August 2, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Lamar at the age of 89 with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Bowles, her parents and her brother, William Blake.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda Turner; granddaughter, Adele (Randle) Harmon all of Lamar; sisters-in-law, Lorene (Richard) Thompson and Bonnie (A.C.) Rowan all of Lamar, Doris Copeland of Eads, CO and her brother-in-law, Loren (Joyce) Bowles of Cortez, CO. She is also survived by other family and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
