Two Injured in Two Vehicle Crash in Prowers County

The Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle crash involving serious bodily injury that occurred on Highway 196 and Prowers County Road NN, approximately 5 miles north of Lamar, CO.
A 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by a minor, age 17, of Wiley, Colorado, was northbound on Highway 196 at mile post 15. A Toyota Tacoma was southbound approximately at the same location. The Toyota Camry attempted to make a left turn onto Prowers County Road NN when it collided its front to the Toyota Tundra’s front. The Toyota Camry spun off the roadway and came to rest facing northeast while the Toyota Tundra came to rest on the roadway facing eastbound
The drivers were transported from the scene to Prowers Medical Center in Lamar with bodily injuries. Both drivers were restrained by a seatbelt. Alcohol, drugs, or excessive speed are not factors in the crash.
