Kari Mosier Receives Heifer Wrangle Grant at National Western Stock Show

 

DENVER, CO – Kari Mosier of the Lamar FFA chapter received a grant in the amount of $1,500 from the Colorado FFA Foundation to establish and improve a beef type Supervised Agricultural Experience program. The grant funds will be used to purchase a heifer of the FFA member’s choosing. The grant was presented on Jan. 17 as part of “FFA Day” at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.

Along with the funds, Kari was also introduced to the grant sponsor, Kathleen Larsen from Colorado Elks. Mosier and Larsen will communicate for the next 12 months, tracking the progress of the project. Kari was one of 47 students statewide receiving grant funds this year.
