Two Arrested in Lamar Drug Bust

On Monday, October 2, 2017, members of the Lamar Police Department, Prowers County Sheriff’s Office, and Colorado State Parole served a search warrant in the 900 block of South 7th Street in Lamar.  Items used in the distribution of illegal narcotics were located along with methamphetamine.

Kayla Howell

Robert Lucas Howell, 28 of Lamar, and Kayla Guerra (Howell), 31 of Lamar, were arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and other charges.  Both individuals are being held at the Prowers County Jail on $150,000.00 bond.  The charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Pedro Lopez

During the investigation, Parole Officers made contact with Pedro Lopez, 32 of Burlington, who had an outstanding fugitive warrant for his arrest.

Mr. Lopez was contacted in Limon, Colorado by Colorado State Parole, Colorado State Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Limon Police Department.  Mr. Lopez is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on no bond.
