(Lamar, Colorado; September 21, 2017) Lamar Community College President Lujan would like to invite the public to join LCC staff for a listening tour with the Colorado Community College System’s State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. The community forum will be held on October 2, from 10:30-11:30 am in the Large Lecture Hall (Bowman 139).
“In place of the annual campus tour, the Board will be holding listening tours at each of the thirteen CCCS colleges this year,” President Lujan said. “They are very interested in hearing from you because Dr. Nancy McCallin, our system President who has oversight of the CCCS colleges, including LCC, will be retiring in July 2018.”
The Board will use these listening tours as a way to hear from the college community about attributes, strengths, experiences and interest they should give considerable attention to as they go through the process of selecting a successor. The meeting will be set up like a town hall meeting, and they welcome all questions and comments.
The event will be streamed live at facebook.com/lamarcommunitycollege.
Anyone interested in the event, but unable to attend, can submit comments and questions to Misti Fronterhouse via email at misti.fronterhouse@lamarcc.edu. All submissions will be shared with the Board.
For additional information, contact Misti Fronterhouse at 719.336.1511 or misti.fronterhouse@lamarcc.edu.
