Democratic Candidate for CD4 to Visit Lamar August 4th

Congressional Candidate Karen McCormick, DVM, will visit Lamar Friday, August 4th, and will attend Ken Buck’s town meeting at the Cultural Events Center. Dr. McCormick will remain after Buck’s meeting is over to answer questions and to discuss her campaign. The Ken Buck town hall begins at 2:30 Friday and should last about an hour. Karen will remain and will be available immediately following that meeting.

For the first time in a long time, it looks like we have a choice in Congressional candidates. Karen McCormick from Longmont will face her Democratic primary challenger, Chase Khone, in the June, 2018 election. The winner of that contest will face the Republican nominee.

Karen lives in Longmont. Until recently, she owned and operated a veterinary hospital in Boulder. That is not a misprint. There are two Democrats running for Congress from CD4 and both happen to be veterinarians.

The Prowers County Democrats will meet in the Colorado Room in the Rodeway Cow Palace Inn on Wednesday, August 2 at 6:00pm. For additional information call Bob Seay at 688-3746.
