A basic membership with the Lamar Chamber of Commerce offers various benefits to local subscribers. A new and enhanced package of membership benefits has become available as of 2017, according to Lamar Chamber President, Ginger Coberley.  Coberley added, “The Chamber offers so many great benefits to its members and we are very excited to be able to offer even more with our Enhanced Membership. The new benefits give our members an opportunity to really be able to highlight their businesses. We are working hard to ensure the Chamber has real value for all our members.”

The basic membership package entitles a member to services such as free or discounted seminars and workshops to help augment your business, networking opportunities with merchants meetings and the featured Business of the Month in a local publication, free rental listings for affordable housing postings and sponsorship opportunities for community events. Chamber members have free access to facilities and equipment such as the board room or Enchanted Forest, along with audio equipment and a PA system.  A list of communication services are also available and include email blasts of pertinent news, free bulk mailings, facebook posts a website calendar and hot deals, Honker welcoming events and opportunities to display business information at the Chamber and Lamar Welcome Center.

The Chamber Board is taking these services several steps further with Enhanced Membership Benefits through the Lamar Chamber of Commerce website.  Along with the sliding scale chamber membership fees based on number of employees, chamber members can opt for new offerings such as a Free Home Page Banner Ad on the website for a yearly value of $300.  Your advertisements will be one of the first viewed on the Chamber webpage.  Free unlimited job postings are available while basic members pay a weekly fee.  The Enhanced package offers a multitude of ways to bring your business to the attention of local and regional customers.  Contact the Lamar Chamber for a complete listing of services at 336-4379.

Coberley mentioned that she and the Chamber board are open to ideas for a unique way to commemorate the Lamar Chamber’s 120th anniversary as of this December.
