Letter to the Editor: Confidence in the Press

Letters-to-the-Editor-2

The White House, on Friday, February  24th, 2017, blocked named press outlets CNN & the New York Times from attending a press conference. This is cause for concern.

Government, at any level, should be available to the public. I get it that the President has a “war on press and fake news”, but the public does not. In today’s world with instant internet access, we can check and verify any news article that comes out and formulate our own opinions of news stories.

President George Bush indicated, “The White House should deal with all outlets”, and I agree. Blocking press access is unacceptable at any level of government.
