The hospital is ready to unveil the results of its renovation efforts at its upcoming grand opening celebration. All attending community members will be treated to a tour, giveaways and refreshments.
The public is invited to help celebrate the grand opening on Thursday, September 22nd between 4 – 6 pm. Parents are encouraged to bring their children as teddy bears will be handed out to the first 100 kids. Tours will be provided of the new materials management department, new operating suites, enhanced pre- and post-op areas, expanded emergency department and large gymnasium for rehabilitation.
“This has been several years in the making and it took a whole community to pull it together. The hospital and the community are one—when we improve, we improve the community and vice versa. I truly believe that,” said Craig R. Loveless, Chief Executive Officer for Prowers Medical Center.
The completion of its new facilities compliments recent awards received by the hospital. Quorum Health Resources (Quorum) recently held their Annual Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The event included an awards ceremony recognizing top performing hospitals nationwide where Quorum announces the winners of the National Excellence in Leadership awards. Prowers Medical Center received both the “Most Improved Performance” and “Best Overall Performance” among Critical Access Hospitals for 2016.
Prowers Medical Center is proud to be the central place for health care in Lamar and surrounding communities, offering both primary and specialty care.
