Granada Double Elimination Co-Ed Backwards Tournament

Eight teams competed in the double-elimination Co-Ed Backwards Tournament held in Granada on Saturday, June 11^th.  Teams involved include:  The A-Team, Outlaws, Sliders, Recreational Hazards, Granada Stop 2 Shop, Hartman Bears, Sylwa’s and the Twisters.

The event was held as a fundraiser for the Granada Recreation Department for monies to be spent on equipment, uniforms, and other miscellaneous expenses for the various youth sports held throughout the year.  THANKS to all the teams, volunteers, fans and the Granada School.

Pictured above are the eventual Champs of the Backwards Tournament:  Granada Stop 2 Shop.  Team members pictured left to right include:  Ricardo Marquez (with Presley Marquez), Abby Marquez, Traegon Marquez, Andi Coleman, Josh Coleman, Shelly Grasmick, Tanner Grasmick, Adi Cruz, Buffy Neugebauer, and Dace Neugebauer.  Granada Stop 2 Shop defeated Sylwa’s in the 10^th inning (19-18) to claim the title.
