Always wanted to check out Colorado’s state parks? Now you can.

Lamar Public Library has two park pass hang tags and two adventure backpacks that can be checked out for up to seven days.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife in partnership with Colorado Department of Education, State Library are pleased to announce the expansion of the Check Out Colorado State Parks program to 286 libraries statewide in collaboration with military, public and higher education libraries beginning on June 20, 2016.

Here in Lamar we are right next door to some beautiful State Parks and we are pleased to be able to provide free access for our patrons. The backpacks are loaded with great information and guides to help make State Park visits not only free, but also educational opportunities for all ages.

Don’t have a library card??? No Problem!

Lamar Public Library cards are FREE….just bring in your Picture ID and proof of mailing address.
