Ruth E. Hamilton…December 22, 1922 – May 1, 2016

Funeral services for Ruth Hamilton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Holly, CO with interment to follow in the Holly Cemetery. Pastor Mike Lewis will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to time of service also at the church.

Ruth Elizabeth (Gideon) Hamilton was born December 22, 1922 to William and Grace Gideon who homesteaded south of Holly, CO.  She passed away on May 1, 2016 at Holly Nursing Care Center in Holly, Colorado at the age of 93.

Ruth was united in marriage to Marvin Clair Hamilton Sr. on December 28, 1947, and they farmed north of Holly for 53 years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Grace Gideon and her husband Marvin in 2000.

Ruth is survived by her four children, Marvin Hamilton Jr. and wife, Linda of Gunnison, CO, Deborah Williams and husband, Rodney of Springfield, MO,  Deanna Daniel and husband, David of Florissant, CO, and Alan Dean Hamilton; three grandsons, Derrick Williams, Douglas Daniel and wife, Michelle, and Jonathan Daniel;  two granddaughters, Rebecca Williams and Kathryn Daniel; great grandsons, Brandon Daniel and Dakota Daniel; many other relatives and a host of friends.
