Monty Dean Palmer – May 7, 1936 – September 16, 2026

A graveside memorial service for longtime Granada, Colorado resident, Monty DeanPalmer will be held at 11:00AM Friday, September 25, 2026 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada, Colorado.

Cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Monty was born on May 07, 1936 at Granada, Colorado to Walter Mace “Bud” and Lela Irene “Bitty” (Miller) Palmer and passed away at Parkview Medical Center with his family by his side at the age of 90.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Palmer. Monty is survived by his wife Sue Palmer of the family home in Granada, CO, daughter Mandy (Leonard Smart) Vanderpool of Lamar, CO and son Greg (Coky) Palmer of Bristol, CO. He is also survived by grandchildren Ryan (Katie) Pelton, Toni (Kelby Repp) Pelton, Randy Vanderpool, Kirby (Davey) Reyes, Kolby (Kelsey) Palmer and Koy (Jacqueline) Palmer and great-grandchildren Ryler, Lylah, Daxson, Adalyn, Tatesen, Sage, Terek, Bentlee, Bryant, Baylor, Brya, Rynlee, Rayne and one more on the way, as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
